  1. Hospital waiting rooms are terrible places. There is usually a nurse there who will triage the patient and assess the urgency of the treatment required. There may be people in the casualty/emergency department who are in an acute condition and they will have to do their assessments first. Now. The next step is to talk to these people and advise them of the level of pain your mother is suffering, and before anything else is done, you want them to have a doctor check her out. He will assess her and make a decision, and the first thing after the assessment is to relieve the pain.

You are a wonderful son. You really love and care about your mother.

Contact the nursing staff again and tell them you really are worried about her condition. If they do not respond, then you should ask to see a doctor IMMEDIATELY. They cannot refuse. If they do, tell them you are unhappy with this situation and you are going home and place the matter in the hands of your lawyers as they are not helping you or your mother. You need some action. You won't have to go home, you won't need to contact your lawyers and your mother will be treated. Trust me. It's a very foolish staffer who will refuse you after that.

  2. First, yes the computer has all her information.

Now, you have to tell someone that she's in unbearable pain and you want help NOW!  Be assertive!  Don't give up! That's ridiculous for her to be in the waiting room in such bad pain!! It doesn't sound life-threatening, but tell the nurse she needs help now!  Have her moan and groan, if she isn't already.

You're a good son.  Here's a star for you, and good luck to your Mom. :)

  3. If it's a decent hospital they should take her soon.  She should just be sure to keep drinking water.  Stay hydrated.  If it's not a good hospital then go to the other one.  Has she called her primary care doctor?  They can usually call the hospital and get you in faster.

  4. just take her to another hospital
