What is wrong with my.....?

Question

What is wrong with my Morning Glory's? I have them going up 2 poles that are about 9 ft. apart. Then we took a wash line rope and tied it to each wash line pole. They are dieing off on the bottoms and there are no flowers at the bottom. What am I don't wrong. We live in PA

There are three reasons

1. sun needs to be exposed to the bottom as well as the top

2. you can have bugs at the bottom(u can check, or get bug spray, it won't harm the plant, even if it doesnt have bugs.

p.s. get two types of bug spray, one that kills the bugs and one that keep bugs away from the plant.

3. there is not enough room for the roots of the morning glory's to grow, it doesnt have to be the other morning glory plant, it can be weeds or any other plant thats kinda growing next to it.

It's getting towards the end of their growing season and they are going dormant. They'll be back next year.

I had the same problem occur last year on mine.  I ended up having a spider mite problem.  I went to the local garden center and invested in some organic miticide that had garlic in it.  It worked very well!
