What is wrong with my scanner?

i have a microtek slimscan c3 and i have it hooked up and everything it worked some but then it stopped and now it says it can't detect it is old i knowbut i really want to scan pictures and stuff..

Have you reinstalled the software. If not, it may be a good idea to do so.

Even though you said, connections are fine. Just recheck everything; may be remove and reconnect again to be sure

If it is connected via USB, you should at least see a device being recognized. If that is the case, you are good with the scanner and it is just a driver issue. Just reinstall the software from the CD you have and most likely you will be UP and running

If it doesn't recognize the scanner itself (connected via USB) - make sure your cable is good and also try different USB port.

If it all doesn't work, try to see if you have warranty and get some support
