What is wrong with my wii?

I was playing my wii when there was a lightening storm. I saw lightening strike near my house and then my wii popped really loud. now, when I turn it on, I can hear the sound, but the picture won't show up. What could be wrong with it. Please help.

Plug something else into the tv, in the port your wii is plugged into now and see if it's the tv's scart port that's damaged. I've had a scart port on a tv get damaged in a lightning storm same thing sound but no picture.

Sounds like you've been fried.  In the extremely unlikely event that it's just the TV, go plug it into another one that's working in the house.  In the slightly more likely even that it's the cable, get a replacement cable for your Wii and see if the picture comes back to life.

I'm surprised your console isn't bricked, and suspect the console itself is fried.  In this case, I'm hoping you purchased a service plan or you're covered under the warranty.  (I wouldn't mention the lightning to Nintendo support, though.  Defects in hardware are covered.  Lightning strikes I'm not sure about).
