  1. Because they have been raised to think that they can do anything, including not voting. It is their right, they are Americans. As for the abortion thing, so you think it is a mistake for them to decide to not get an abortion, what about the home of the FREE? Also they are idolizing women such as Brittney Spears, Paris Hilton and Lindsey Lohan. Not very good role models if you ask me! One was in prison, one was on drugs, one lost her children due to her mental problems and all three wore no underwear, thus showing their vaginas to the world! What can you expect from them. They love them! That is why I am so glad to live in the land of the FREE, I can homeschool my children and keep them from "experiencing" the horrible world.

EDIT @ Rebel Man: Yes, I was homeschooled and protected from the harsh world, but that didn't mean I didn't go into it. It just didn't effect me. My parents were good enough parents that they taught me what was wrong before I "experienced" it.

  2. With your opinion on abortion, you might have the answer within.

  3. OK but where are their moms and shouldn't every girl in America get her own little puppy too.

  4. You mean like teens? Nothings wrong with them. They are young (s**y) and attractive (s**y) to begin with. "arrogant and ignorant" ? Ignorance can be fixed and arrogance is s**y !!!

My Answer : Nothings wrong with them.

  5. If you are really a misanthrope, as your name suggests, you will have a hard time understanding the ethics that govern our world...

  6. because their parents raised them to be arrogant and ignorant. and our education system just fuels that, we don't teach people how to think anymore.

  7. Anybody with a brain knows that this nation is controlled by lobbyist and special interests groups. It is a waste of time to vote. With abortion, some women might see the right to life more important than the right to abortion.

Girls (and boys) are arrogant and ignorant because their parents are doing a half @ssed job at best raising them. Kids are raised by the media.

  8. The vast majority of people lag behind the social consciousness of the few who lead.  Ask Jefferson and Washington who were trying to create a democracy and the colonists were slow to get involved.  The sheep ALWAYS appreciate progress and the increased quality of life that is made possible by others but remain blindfolded by ignorance, cowardice, acculturations, laziness, herd instinct, etc. and are like oblivious to cause and effect.  Religious people do that, too.  They have historically punished, censored, imprisoned and burned people at the stake for presenting objective truths, like the Earth is not the center of the Universe or that demons are not making them sick, but rather pouring their human waste into their drinking water source makes them sick because of bacteria.  THEN, as their quality of life improves and they benefit from those objective truths, they just come up with some other magical-cognition "issue" that attacks rational truths and the rational leaders who made the effort to improve their quality of life and persist at being like some hemorrhoid on the butt of the social consciousness and drag it's rise down as much as possible.  Same with techno-phobes, people who "blame" technology all the while they're posting on a computer in an air-conditioned home with eyeglasses, a microwaved warmed latte, a refrigerator, dishwasher, tv, anti-biotics, airplane tickets and a HUMVEE parked outdoors.

  9. Chris is right. Your thoughts on abortion said it all. Most Americans don't care about anything but themselves because we are constantly told that we don't have to. In other countries people are more respectful because they are raised to be accountable for things. Here most people aren't. Other countries have lower teen birth rates because an abortion isn't a birth control option like it is here. If you want to find out whats wrong with kids look at how our society teaches them to be. Dumb wh-re celebs like Britney, Lindsay, & Paris are who young girls are told they should look up to. Feminism has taken a decline because in the US it's ok to treat people, especially women, as if they're disposable. If you can kill your own baby why should you care about anyone else, including yourself?

  10. There are a lot of things which we tell people they can't do (or have to do in some cases).  You can't drive over the speed limit, drink too much alcohol in public, attempt suicide-the list goes on.

There are a lot of men who don't really care about voting much anymore either.  I don't understand it, except that people just don't feel like their vote means much anymore the way the political system is now.

As for the opposition to feminism, I always thought most people who oppose it oppose what it is today, not what it was in the past (there are a few exceptions of course).  The right to vote was gained in 1920 in the US.  That's old news.  Today's feminists had absolutely nothing to do with it.

Well, I haven't heard too many girls insult Susan B. Anthony before.

Since the voting thing came up, I'm all for getting rid of the electoral college, although it would require a ton of work.  It's written directly into the Constitution, so it would require an amendment.  Also, we'd have to look at the rule that the winner has to get a majority of the votes, because that doesn't always happen with 3rd-party candidates.  The electoral college is outdated though.  It basically means that voters in California have more power than voters in Wyoming because of population.

I do think it's possible to agree with feminists of the past and disagree with feminists of today.

Many people oppose abortion because it eliminates life, not because they want to oppress women.

Having said all that, I can see your basic point.  I have to say, not a lot of people really care about much of anything anymore.  We've grown too comfortable.

California is worth more than other states because it has more votes in the electoral college.  California's 50+ votes mean more than Wyoming's 1.  Girls not knowing Susan B. Anthony could just be them, but it's more than likely an education issue.

Whatever happened to parental responsibility when it comes to pregnancy?  It's just another way that we've removed responsibility in society period.

Proud- I can see why you'd want to keep your kids away from bad influences, but sooner or later they'll have to see the world, and they have to be prepared sometime for it.
