What is wrong with someone who has blue finger nails?

would it mean that one might have heart trouble or what could it relate too

  1. 1.  Could be cold.  ( ^ _ ^ )

    2.  Tissues aren't being adequately profused with oxygen enriched blood.  Such as poor circulation.

  2. Bluish skin/nail beds are usually an indication of some form of hypoxia- a lack of oxygen in the body's circulation. This could be caused by several things, and not to sound off alarms, but heart trouble could be one of them. There are 2 main causes of hypoxia- lack of oxygen in the blood, or reduced circulation. If you feeldizzy or lightheaded, have trouble breathing, then that could be the case. Best bet is to go to a doctor and have it checked out.

  3. It could mean many things--anemic, poor circualtion, eating disorder, cold, or some other disease or serious illness--go to a doctor.

  4. anemia or other circulatory problem if tissue under nails is blue. If nails themselves are blue: fungus

    In any case, should be evaluated by a healthcare provider who can take H and P.
