What is wrong with the Astros?

Question

They have the offense to score an average of 6 runs a game.

Why do they do bad against good teams, and bad against bad teams?

For example, they took 2 of 3 from the last cubs series. Right after that series they got swept by the Pirates. Now in Milwaulkee they have won the 1st game of that series.

It doesn't make sense. Why cant they do that all the time?

they are just an average team that is inconsistent and doesn't have much pitching - although Oswalt is still one of the better ones.

i think you meant to say good against good teams and bad against bad teams.  The astros have a good team, and i couldnt answer your question because i honestly dont have a clue whats wrong with them.  Expect them to compete next year though.

because some teams just have there number. thats how sports in general works. astros dont have pitching! the pirates can hit. the cubs were in a slump. maybe the astros think they should win ever game? maybe they are really a bad team? after a 100 games, you sort of know what kind of team you have. they're NOT good!!!! sorry to burst your bubble.

The Astros are leaving me dumbfounded. I know guys like Roy Oswalt can do better then they are and I know guys like Hunter Pence can do a better job in the batter box but I just feel that there are a few guys doing what they need to do and the other players are just dragging along for the ride like Michael Bourn.

I also feel they made a mistake trading away Luke Scott and especially DH Aubery Huff who is playing well this season. Also, they have a lot of holes in key places such as RPs, SPs, and batters.
