  1. Wages not keeping up with the cost of.... everything

Trade imbalance, we buy more stuff from other countries than we sell.

Companies sending jobs overseas to increase profit.

    Energy, dependence on foreign countries.

    Poor decisions by creditors.

  2. im going to bet youre not a "youngin" so nice try. and simply put? its broken.

  3. Spend too much money for the wrong reason

  4. From my limited knowledge (I'm a "youngin' (?) too...), the economy went down because people are spending less...and the reason for why we're spending less is that oil prices have gone up, ergo, we spend more money at the pump than at the mall....

(then again I maybe wrong...this is just what i have come to know from reading and watching snippets of news programmes and documentaries...)

  5. -there's a major, historic retraction in the housing market

-energy prices are high and getting higher

-the dollar is very weak, which is good for US exports but makes foreign goods comparatively more expensive for US consumers

  6. a recession is likely to occur..
