  1. Well grammatically it should say "DOES not agree" not "do".

But from the scientific perspective, perhaps the theory is wrong and not the experiment.

Just b/c exper. and theory dont agree does not immediately mean the results are wrong.

  2. Your English. Try:

"The result of the experiment was not the same as what the theory stated. Therefore, something must have been incorrect with the experiment."

  3. With the sentence "The result of the experiment do not agree with the theory", one can get the idea that either the experiment is a failure or the theory is incorrect. Since the theory (most probably) is not incorrect, it would be less ambiguous if you rephrase the sentence.

    This could be more appropriate:

Something is wrong with the experiment since its results do not agree with the theoretical results.

    or

The experiment is a failure since the its results are inconsistent with the theoretical results.

  4. "The results of the experiment do not prove the theory. Therefore,  the theory must be incorrect."

  5. "Something must be wrong with the experiment for The result of the experiment do not agree with the theory."

  6. It depends on what class this sentence came from.  It contains a grammar mistake.  It should read:

The result of the experiment does not agree with the theory.

The second sentence is an unjustified conclusion.  Something might have been wrong in the theory.  There is no information suggesting any conclusion statement.

  7. If the results of an experiment are not in agreement with the theory then some thing is wrong either with the theory or the experiment.

The sentence can be changed to (assuming that the theory is well established and there is no doubt about it):

"The result of the experiment does not agree with the theory, so something may be wrong with the experiment."

  8. An experiment is just to test the hypothesis. It can either disprove or prove it.

  9. Scholarly response: You have an unfounded conclusion. Perhaps the experiment is valid and disproves the theory.

Grammatical response: You need to use the word does versus do.

Try: The result of this experiment does not demonstrate a positive correlation between the experiment and the theory. More testing must be performed.
