  1. well, TB just got Stamkos, just hired Melrose, and just got the rights to Prospal back, plus they got Smith in net, so i would say they are on the right track.

  2. I agree with ^^^^^.

Additionally...... One of the KEYS to a successful team in this day and age is a GOOD scouting system. Teams like the Toronto Maple Leafs have left the scouting aspect flounder. Gone are the days of spend spend spend and of signing multiple free agents every year.

  3. Nothing except their goalkeeper stinks

  4. They have no fanbase because there a southern team

  5. It's been my experience that no team in any sport can afford to stand still while expecting to win year after year. And that was the case back in the 70's. Nowadays it's even more important to keep your roster changing for all the players that can be available, the one's that are on their way out, up, or down, and for potential FA's.

There isn't really a blueprint for success but the Red Wings seem to have a good thing going now. And who's to say at this point that the Lightning aren't doing what is necessary to win down the road a bit?

  6. goaltending is wrong with the lightings they got smith but his not good enough
