What is wrong with this child

Question

im breast feeding my 3 1/2 month baby and some times he crys like he is hungery but he will have 2/3 sucks and let go only to cry that he is hungery

i try winding him but he screams like im starving him

teething, ear infection, maybe a sore thoat.

Does he ever have a full feeding? If so he is probably using you as a comfort measure-sort of like a binky. If not, he is probably not getting enough. Maybe you could try supplementing every other feeding with formula but continue to pump as if you were still his only source of nutrition-which might help stimulate more production.

my baby would do that too. try pumping to see how much milk you are really producing. turns out i never made enough milk so i had to go to formula. and before i get all the thumbs down, just remember, id rather have my baby alive and well fed then starved to death.

Maybe your baby isn't getting enough milk and since your baby is hungry your baby wants to get the milk.  Why don't you try giving your baby formula for now while you pump out your breast milk.  If you keep pumping your breast milk you will produce more milk.  Good luck!!!

sounds to me like you quit producing. I would talk to your doctor about this. Good Luck

I'm sorry you are going through this. I guess he has always nursed well until now?

He may have an ear infection. Ear infection will make a baby reject their bottle/breast because of the pressure when suckling.

I would go to the doctor and make sure he is healthy. Then i may consider going to bottle/formula feeding or at least supplement if you are not producing enough milk
