What is wrong with this world with emo please anser!!!!?

like 5 years ago ide never even heard of people cuting them self but know its like everybody on the internet and everybody in my school.

i dont get it what pleasure could anybody get out of causing them self pain can someone tell me what they get out of it

My friend used to cut himself, but I convinced him to stop. He did it because he was punishing himself for things he thought he did wrong, not because he liked it.

And please, don't judge emo people. They happen to be THE most awesome people on earth. Oh, and not all of them cut by the way.

heah, your question made me cry...i used to be a cutter...and i did NOT do it for pleasure, so please don't think that...i did it becuase it was the next closest thing to taking my life...i have the word h**l engraved in my leg and i have to see it every day...and so does everyone else...i have been through six months of counseling and am on three medications for depression and anxiety...and i honestly would love to talk to you about this stuff...even if that sounds totally stupid...i really would...i would love to explain my story to you...that is, if youre really that curious...

there are many, many people who cut themselves just to get attention. But the people taht arent doing it for attention are doing it to overcome a mental pain.

When somebody doesnt know anything other than pain, what are they going to do to escape it? they dont have the happy memories to chase the pain away. so they resort to a physical pain, it gets their mind off of the mental pain.

I know this seems just plain out wrong to some of you people. But please try to understand that some of the people that are out there cutting themselves need and escape. They resort to cutting themselves, when there is a much easier solution. somebody just needs to be a true friend to them. i hope i answered your question.
