when the taillights won't go off and keep draining your battery and you keep having to remove the fuse to keep it from happening and what can you do to correct the problem?

  1. make sure the switch to turn on your tail lights isn't faulty and allows them to turn off all the way, happened to me once, it was like a $15 part.  


  2. If it's your taillights, check the headlight switch and make sure it's not stuck.

    If it's your brake lights, check your brake light switch and make sure it's not stuck

    Also, for both, check the wires for the taillights and make sure there aren't any short circuits.

  3. I would definately take it to a mechanic I trusted.. Especially for your own safety, an unsafe car is not good..

  4. Try checking the tail light switch located just above the brake pedal, which is activated everytime the brake pedal is depresed if still working. If not, change it with a similar brand/model available in the market. It would also help inspecting the related wires at the back for possible short circuit. Good luck.
