what is yahoo Message Boards and what is the different between it and yahoo groups. I understand that the Message Boards is just a groups in a specific major , and I can get a group in specific major in, so what is the different.

Click on Forum

This is where people post suggestions to Yahoo Answers to change the structure and rules by which they operate ... such as new categories, split by needs of children & adults, adjust our choices on profiles ... then people add comments what they think of these ideas, and give thumbs up if they like a particular suggestion.

Question # 2 Yahoo Groups

They are Discussion Groups, where people may access the archives of past discussion, or get each individual posting as an e-mail, or get a digest.

Suppose you have an interest in the care of a particular kind of pet, or you are the user of a particular kind of software & periodically have questions how to use all of its features, or there is a particular recurring situation in the news and you want to discuss that, or you have a favorite author or book series (like Harry Potter) and want to discuss that with fellow fans.

So a discussion group can be formed for that subject, and people sign up to be members.  The person who started it is the moderator & they can nominate other moderator-helpers.  The moderator can pick various Yajhoo settings to manage the group to try to prevent spam, trolling etc.
