Mine is that it's celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.

And that we get presents becasue the wise men gave him gifts,

but presents weren't until the 30's.

Right?

  1. I agree with the Birth of Jesus Christ also.

Christmas is also about giving and not receiving

and spending  time with you family and loved

ones. I hope you have a Merry Christmas

    this yes.

  2. I agree with you 100%.  I like all the other stuff about it too but I still think that Jesus' birthday is the most important part.

  3.   Same that you said.

It always hurts me when people at my school ask me my favorite part of Xmas and i reply something like traditions or the warm fuzzy feeling I get.  Then they reply, Oh, I just like the presents!

That irritates me.  It makes me feel like they don't get the TRUE meaning of Christmas!

  4. To celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, to give (and recieve, lol) presents, to spend time with family, (and eat a very yummy dinner, just kidding.)

  5. Celebration the birth of Jesus Christ

Giving presents to the ones you love.

Spending time with family and friends.

And every Christmas i always make sure i help out at a homeless center and give to those in need.

Hope you all have a merry christmas!

  6. I believe in celebrating the birth of jesus christ I am a proud christian, but many people have their own reasons for celebrating the christmas season. And if you got completely technical about it the christians took the holiday from the pagans. The pagans celebrated the feast of the "Son of Isis" (Goddess of nature) The had get together and ate and gave gifts. Their wintert solstice was known as Yule.

In 350 Pope Julius I, declared that christs birthday would be celebrated on December 25. So it was the pagans before it was ours.
