What is you favorite resort in Playa / Rivera Maya & why?

I am looking at taking a little vacation to Playa next month and I'm looking for feedback as to what resorts you think are good or not so good. I,ve Been to Mexico several times and find myself wanting to come back to the Rivera Maya. My wife and I are a young couple in our early 20's and are looking for a relaxing location. We are not to big into the comercialized party scene, so a nice clean quite beach would suite us nicely.

Maroma is great! Very romantic and secluded!

My absolute favorite is the Grand Sirenis.  It is NOT a "party" scene at all.  They have an adults only side and a family side.  Rooms are huge, with a jacuzzi tub in every room, and a balcony in every room.  Food is better than any other resort I have stayed in.  Lots of different choices, 2 big buffets, 2 smaller buffets next to the pools, and one by the beach.  Plus 7 reservations restaurants at night.  2 main pools, one activity pool, one kiddie pool, and a lazy river.  Plus, it is always cheaper than most other resorts.  This is also the only resort I have been to where I did not want to leave.  It truly has everything I need for a great vacation, I didn't feel like I needed to leave for any reason.

  

This is a newer resort, but is FAR from the airport.  It is closer to Xcaret and Xelha, if you are interested in those.  It is also very close to Tulum, so that excursion is good to go on.  There are several snorkeling tours that are close by.  However, you are going to be FAR away from Chichen Itza or any shopping.  It is almost 30 minutes to Playa to do any shopping or bar hopping.  The hotel has recently added a "discoteque", but I personally have not been to that.
