  1. Well he was a flashy speaker there’s no doubt about that.

When he became the leader of the Labour Party the previous Conservative government was really running out of ideas after a lot of privatisation of previously nationalised industries

His leadership signalled a ‘New’ Labour Party and he was when he elected as Prime Minister he was one of the youngest Prime Ministers the country had ever had.

Labour came to power in 1997 promising a fresh approach to government with more women MPs and a government that was closer to the people. A complete change from the Tory government descended into what a lot of people thought was a period on self-interest and sleaze.

One of the big phrases was Education, Education, Education (used by Tony Blair) the idea being that if people had a better education then the whole of society would improve – not a bad idea.

Unfortunately, the good idea got lost, to a certain extent in the tremendous amounts of measurements that were proposed SATs etc. Then the basis of the SATs was changed so there was never true measurement of improvement from a steady base.

Another of Tony’s big phrases was “Tough on Crime, Tough on the causes of crime”.

Again because of the amount of measurement and form-filling that police officers had complete to prove how well they were doing fewer officers actually did a ‘policing job’ and became administrative  assistants and PCSO’s were born.

After 9/11 Tony stated that we would ‘stand shoulder by shoulder’ with the Americans to fight terrorism.

Then came the Iraq war - Tony was convinced from the information that he received that there were weapons of mass-destruction (WMD’s) in Iraq and announced to Britain that we were within 45 minutes of danger should Iraq decide to attack us.

No WMD’s have ever been found

Tony then announced that the real reason for the war had been ‘regime change’ i.e. the removal as Saddam Hussein from power.

Try as he might he could not get himself out of the situation until he made the statement on a television interview when he was asked if he had any regret over the Iraq war and the death of British soldiers – his reply was “God will be my judge”.

His other great political error was announcing he was not going to be Prime Minister at the next General Election but not announcing a departure date! This led to a lot of uncertainty in the Labour Party.

He was always energetic saying ‘there’s so much to be done’ but unfortunately it seemed that everything had to be rushed through at breakneck speed – because of this some people say that all the consequences of the laws that have been passed haven’t really been thought through before they have been implemented.

  2. He left the British people after putting them into war. He is the most cowardly individual to ever become prime minister and everybody should never forget what he did. A real man would stay the course of his reign even when the going gets tough. This one run like h**l in the dead of night as soon as he could.

If he doesn't end up in h**l for what he has done then there is something wrong with Gods judgement.
