  1. Hockey is booooooooooooooooooooooooring!?!

  2. I believe Tiger's comment was based on an American perspective.  People who watch hockey regularly likely grew up with the sport, but since the North American climate is so warm (generally speaking), few hockey goers exist.  Take baseball for example, everyone loves it because so many people played little league.  One reason individuals like golf is because they can play it individually, no league/organization, and fun is had by ages 2-100+!  But as I said, I don't belive Tiger's comment was arrogant, I mean, a Canadian might say that few people watch baseball, but that's just because they only have 1 team and their national pastime is hockey.

  3. I don't care either. I don't watch hockey. I get so tired of someone saying what is so for them and then all the "sensitive" people get all bent out of shape.

  4. It's not like it's offensive or anything. It might be a little out of line, but it's not a big deal. Same goes with the Kelly Tilghman comment. It was taken as too much of a big deal.

I'm not a big hockey fan myself (I only watch during the playoffs), but I wouldn't diss it.

  5. I would like to see The little p.u.s.s.y. Tiger on the ice he would look like a fool but put a hockey player on the course and i bet he looks not too bad for that matter put a team of hockey players together and have them play different sports Football,Basketball,Baseball,Soccer, and i bet they look good at all of them but no other sports would look good at hockey except maybe Lacrosse players  Hockey players are the best athletes in the world!!!!!

Just shows you he he's a arrogant fool,,,, He should of said some thing polite and not been rude Like I Don't have time to follow it with all the practise I do.....how low budget get some class Tiger and be a little more Professional go watch some interviews of The Great One or Mario and see how a Pro conducts them self with class!!!

  6. Frankly I'm more sick of the people who are calling Tiger's comments "American" or using similar statements, which I have seen in replies in places other than here.

Kenny is a dimwit to state that people who like hockey grew up with it.  I didn't get into it until I was in my 20s and I don't play (I can barely ice skate).  It's my favorite sport to watch and I'm American.  I have a number of friends that are the same as far as getting into watching hockey later in life.

I'm guessing Tiger made his comments based on those who he spends times with, but as a professional athlete in a sport that some people question the athleticism of...he should have known better.  I don't think he did it to be insulting or arrogant, but I do think it showed his ignorance and to some degree a lack of respect for another sport.

I think he would have been better off just saying that he didn't watch hockey himself but hoped the fans were enjoying the playoffs.  If I was in his place that's what I would have said about a sport I'm not interested in or follow.  Just cuz I'm not into it doesn't mean it doesn't have value.

  7. I remember back when Tiger pissed off a lot of golfers when he won, with his "C" game. As a very handy golfer (4 handicap), I cannot stand to watch golf for any length of time because it is a very boring spectator sport. In comparison (even though I am not a hockey fan), I think that hockey is definitely a faster paced game, and easier to watch. I feel that as an ambassador of golf, Tiger certainly needs a bit of work - considering he's is trying to better Jack Nicklaus' records...

  8. It's probably true for him, he probably doesn't watch hockey just like a lot of hockey players don't watch golf or baseball. To each his own, I don't know what the big deal is. I only watch golf, nothing against the other sports it's just that there is only so much time in a day and you have to prioritize.

  9. Tiger has expressed his opinion and he is just wrong. Millions of people watch hockey, just not all in the United States.

As a golf fan it does not detract from Tiger's amazing career as a golfer and I will continue to be impressed by his unbelievable skill.

  10. Gretzky plays golf so that is why he made the comments he made.  I share Tiger's opinion on hockey.  I don't like hockey.  I have no interest in it.  I can appreciate the abilities of the players as athletes, but I don't care about it at all as a sport.
