There are exactly only 42 ethnic families the biggest way of differencing people and its not by the vague Idea of races.

Ethnic family tree

your either one of them or are mixed ethnicity

Ethnic groups are groups within those Ethnic families and there are thousands of them.

When I was young I would think I was just black a race but its all lies I made up of these ethnicities

What is your ethnicity

Im

South Africa, Sudan & Tanzania

South Africa & Tanzania

1/2 Bantu (Xhosa) 1/2 San (Im not of Bushmen decent but Khoikho)

Sudan

Nilotic or Ethiopian I dont know but one of them because both are in Sudan

Im of 3 ethnic families one of them the oldest in the world!

Overall most of mine are old

The oldest is San the youngest are both English and Danish.

All of you lot had so called 'black' ancestors if you aint African your ancestors looked like this:

But every single humans ancestors looked like this:

San

They are on top of this tree

The ethnic family tree shows this and it was done by using DNA from people worldwide so it aint lies

  1. If you are South Africa, Sudan and Tanzania, they are not your ethnicities but nationalities

  2. I'm eurasian, hispanic, latino, asian-mediterranean.  What  is the best suited term for a 2/3 Filipino & 1/3 Spanish people like me?

  3. I think this question would only appeal to scientists.I am not interested in what race a person is.People are far more interesting than their race. How far can a conversation go on a persons race? Not as far,I am sure,as on the diversity of their knowledge.

  4. lol the san look like asians but if i guess correctly from the chart i would be of west african, north amerindian, and danish decent but what about semetic ppl they are ancient (jesus was semetic) where do they fit in?? okay throw in some white berber for the jewish in me.

  5. Cymro Celt!

  6. I am a mixture of English, Irish and Scottish. My surname is Scottish (but I was born and live in England) and I have researched it to clan Gunn, who were descendants of Olaf the Black, who was a Danish, so theres some Danish in there way back too. Fascinating, isnt it?

  7. Where are Slavs?

  8. Ethnicity is truly unimportant, we are all a mixture of various genes and all share most of our genes but don't truly know our ancestors very far back at all. We all came out of Africa in the dim and distant past (Africa is often referred to as the seat of humanity). There have been many small evolutionary changes on the way to the present day, but we are essentially all one human race. We are all more than the sum of our parts. As has been said before, "The British are a mongrel race" and I am British. Nuff said?

  9. Well I'm a rather elaborate mix of 45th generation Roman mixed with a bit of Celt from the Nordic region, England and Scotland, some spanish and depending on how far you want to go back, a few million years ago my ancestors were from the african bottleneck, like yours.

  10. Very interesting.  I knew we all started out from the same origin.  My ancestors were from the Netherlands and England.  Daddy always said we were Heinz 57.  LOL
