What is your Favorite weapon to hunt with?

First answer Bow or Gun, Then give the model, Then the reason.

For me it is the compound bow, It's a bear, I pull 76 lbs, with 60% let off. Even tho it is old I still like using it better than my gun because with a gun if you can see the game you can kill it easily, with a bow you need a deer to step within 15 yds. or so before you can kill it.

I hunt in brush country and my favorite is my .30 .30 Winchester Model 94

I'm strictly a gun hunter.  Model/caliber?  I believe in matching my rifle/caliber to the game I'm hunting.  For example, if hunting Whitetail deer my favorite rifle is an old Remington 700 ADL in .25-06 Remington.

I love my Winchester Super X3.  Even though I have only had it for a year, it has started to feel like an old friend.

It does everything that you could ask of a shotgun, and it does it very well.  Even the red racing stripe is growing on me.

rem mod 700p 300 rem ultra mag it is my favorite caliber because i can load it for antelope to moose even though i own a caliber for every animal i hunt and its a 308 caliber so there is a wide variety of bullets to choose from and thats important since i am a handloader

Bow- Hoyt Pro Tech- Reason? Simply this- bowhunting is the greatest thrill on the face of the earth- bar none. Each and every bow kill is just like reliving the first time you killed a deer with your gun. A doe killed with a bow, is a trophy you can be proud of.

A Hoyt 47 lb Black Widow Full re-curve bow, with Fred Bear arrow heads.* Remington Model 721 in 30-06 Caliber, because I like them both for Hunting.* I don't use any sights on my bow, I shoot instinctive.* Its a challenge, and a huge thrill to harvest them with a Bow & Arrow instead of a Gun.*

I love my WWII, 8mm Mouser.   300 yard shot?  No problem!  

The great thing about this gun is that it's so cheap.  You can get an Camo Stock for $40 and the gun itself for $50.  Add a scope and it's the perfect hunting rifle for $200.  

The only down fall is that ammo is a little expensive.

I hunt with a gun, i like the 270. model 70 because i grew up around it. My dad bought one for moose hunting and everyone told him it was too small for moose but after all these years he has killed more moose then any of his other hunter friends.

gun. reason, i have never hunted with a bow. sounds interesting, but i would need a teacher.  the gun , i guess that depends on what i am hunting and where. for  small game and birds, my 28 guage Remington model 11-48. my dad gave it to me, and took me hunting with it. if i killed it, i had to clean it. rule of the hunt.  my dad owes me a deer hunting trip, so it looks like i will be using my Remington 12 guage 870 express { slug barrel } for the hunt. if we were still in Texas, i would be using my ruger 30-06 MM-77 mark II stainless with synthetic stock.  oh, all of my guns are my favorites. hard to pick just one...
