What is your Great Self Employed Job?

I want to know if you have a successful self employed job that is helping you live a happy life.

Majored in History and Political Science, but ended up owning an electrical contracting company.

Successful? It pays the bills.

Probably the best parts of it is; I have some control over the direction of the company and the relationships you build along the way.

Worst part; dealing with lazy employees.

My husband is a petroleum landman. (researches land for oil companies-who owns the rights to the land,etc.) He loves it even though he technically has a boss. In some parts of the country, LA for example, you can get paid a ridiculous amount of money per day. but remember to save for taxes at the end of the year. We have been able to pay for our house with the 20% down, savings, and will have or house payed off in 11 years. We have no other debt. ONLY problem,,, not the most secure job. You could have it one day, and loose it the next depending on the company.

If you have skills.Sell them and you can be the best self employed person.I am a artist, good with my hands and have a mind to find many solution to one problem.Started with nothing Have very much today.
