My all-time favorite player is (and likely always will be) Steve Yzerman. He's been my favorite athlete in any sport since I was 10 years old, over 24 years running.

My favorite current player is Nicklas Lidstrom, though that pesky Alex Ovechkin might ruin my Red Wings streak by the time Nick retires. He's awesome.

Mr. Taco, Alex Ovechkin can't touch the Red Wings.  There is no possibly way in h**l he would ruin any "streak" of the Red Wings.  Nicklas Lidstrom simply existing causes "Ovie" to lose control of the puck.
