What is your all-tme all-NBA team?

The best PG, SG, SF, PF and C of all time... add in a bench or 2nd/3rd teams.

Mine:

PG: Magic

SG: Jordan

SF: Bird

PF: Karl Malone

C: Wilt Chamberlain

Honorable mentions: Duncan (just barely edged out), Kobe, Russell, Abdul-Jabbar, Oscar Robertson, Lebron, Garnett (MAD respect b/c he brings it night in and night out)

Shaq can move bodies and was unstoppable.  I prefer Duncan over Malone.  Malone choked in the Final against Bulls.

Same as yours except Barkley instead of Malone.  Also,  Kobe would not even be a bench player on my team.  Lebron is great but he has not been in the league long enough to be considered for an all-time team, maybe after a few more years.

Center: Wilt Chamberlain (1959-1973)

Wilt "the stilt" chamberlain is argually one of the best players of all time. He once averaged 50 PPG, and holds the current record for most points in a game (100) wilt was not a fantastic shooter, but the 3 point line was not even existant when he was playing. he dominated the boards at a staggering height.

Point Guard: Isiah Thomas (1981-1994)

Isiah is the modern day allen iverson. His layups amazed everyone who watched him, even his away crowds occasianally ooh'ed and ahh'ed at his performance. He could shoot up a play, throw a crazy pass right into someones arms, or dazzles the basket with a layup.

Power Forward: Charles Barkley (1984-2000)

Charles Barkley "Sir Charles" was a very fun subject to talk about. He could dunk on you any way he wanted to, without the slightest trouble, diddnt have much trouble with shooting, and grabbed boards without much haste. He might be referred to a modern day Rasheed Wallace, because he lost his temper alot, one time walking onto the court during a game fight and getting suspended, and technicals werent all too unfamiliar to him.

Shooting Guard: Joe Dumars (1985-1999)

Joe Dumars is talked about a lot less, but deserves alot of recognition. The thing about joe was he could hit you any way he wanted. He could shoot a J, layup, rebound, dunk, steal, block, throw an alley oop, or seldomly catch one. Joe did a fantastic job in part time leading the pistons, along with superstar isiah thomas, to its turnaround peak in which years before it would have been compared to say, the grizzlies. Joe now handles trades for the Pistons, and considering they have stayed at the top of the league, he's done a good job.

Small forward: Larry bird (1979-1992)

Larry bird was honestly a modern day dirk nowitzki. He was undoubtably the purest shooter of his time, and yet not many can forget a dunk of his against the favored lakers. He could basicly hit you a million ways. Larry Bird has appeared on the finals commercial, and his team is now the NBA 2008 champions, just like he had done many a time before too. Larry, along with the others i named, are in the top 50 best players in history, and i thought they should have been mentioned instead of modern day champions, in which it is a little easier to win or lose.

I think i explained why they are the only one who should play.

my team would look exactly like yours except bench . i would have flip a coin between wilt and shaq at center. bench would be a little different.
