  1. I believe everyone has broken one or more laws, and by definition, that makes us criminals.  I do not condone behavior of aggression, stealing,  embezzelment, murder, unless the taking of a life was an act of self defense.  I object to police brutality, think profiling is illegal, and think that  the death penatly is necessary only for serial killers, and the perverts who kidnap children and torture them with forced brutal sexual acts, and then kill them.  The way our penal system is designed is for punishment.  Many of the inmates have no marketable skills that would qualify them to access available jobs.  Rehabilitation is not offered.  I believe that inmates who have sentences of 5 years or less have access to programs developed with the focus of providing the inmate with a choice of occupational education.  Like auto mechanics, or construction, or large earth moving machine operation, or cooking classes.  The reason for the high rate of recidivision is because when a prisoner is released, without occupational skills, and a felony record, there is almost no alternatives available except to commit crime to get money.  It's almost like law enforcement waits for them to go back to criminal activity so they can put them back into prison.  Talk about realizing the hoplessness of their situation. I think imprisoning criminals without the opportunity to gain a marketable skill is a crime.  However law enforcement was originally developed to protect the property of the rich.

  2. well i think criminals commit crimes just to have something interesting happen. or maybe they just want the attention. You know, sometimes you get that craving to steal out of the cookie jar above the fridge, yet others can control themselves and ask for the cookie. do you get what i mean?

  3. Makes things interesting.

  4. I do not tolerate it.  If someone gets killed while committing a crime, GOOD!!!!

  5. Some societies, like the American one, demand it.

  6. Violent criminals should be locked away. Non-violent criminals should only be fined and given community service - no jail time. I think far too many non-violent criminals are in jail. This fear of going to jail for a non-violent crime takes much of the fun out of life - don't you think?

  7. If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.

  8. It's most likely brought on by their upbringing and how they were raised, which is why I feel for them just a LITTLE bit.  But it can still be prevented and changed no matter what the circumstances are, anyone can turn their life around.
