What is your beauty in life?

How interesting that you should ask this question just after I wrote a small piece regarding beauty in my blog tonight.

It is life, but I will quote what I wrote earlier.

"I should never be amazed at beauty because beauty is always around me.

And yet, every time I look around I see something or someone or some situation that is beautiful.

And I am always amazed.

I am not amazed because I have never seen beauty. I am not amazed because I do not understand beauty. I am not amazed because beauty never presents itself before me.

I am always amazed that beauty can survive in this world. I am always amazed that beauty exists in the midst of ugliness. I am always amazed that beauty shows itself when everything else seems hopeless.

I am always amazed by the strength of beauty. I am always amazed by the gentleness of beauty. I am always amazed by the power of simple beauty.

I truly believe that God is beauty."

Life is pretty pretty, but the beauty for me are my 5 senses...

to see, smell, taste, ear and feeeel

If by "life itself" you mean a plastic bag in the wind, beckoning me to dance with it in the damp electric air... well there's beauty! (btw.. Americans don't have a monopoly on that kind of beauty either!)

it use to be all about meeting my goals in life. Always wanting this and that. But now it's about all of the little moments that bring me happiness. Because that's what happiness and life are really all about.  I just turned 38 and it is really starting to hit me that I don't have much time left with my grandparents and my parents for that matter. So my family and friends are most important to me. They bring beauty to my life! And most importantly My heavenly father.
