I'm planning where to go on vacation for next summer.

Where has been the best place you have gone on vacation and why?

Please do not say Ca, Fl, Tn, La, Ny, Tx.

Tell me some fun things do do to!

Thanks a bunch!

:)

  1. last summer i went to dominican republic, the resort sort of thing we stayed at was the best place we have ever went. its like a little city with huge buildings that are hotels, lots of pool, its beachside, and all the restaurants are free. i totally recommend you go there, we are planning on going back

    heres the resort:

its in punta cana, dominican republic

  2. This summer when I went to Spain and Portugal. It was the most amazing time of my life! I guess that's more of a trip though... well my favorite "vacation spots" are definitely in the Caribbean. My favorite islands are Antigua, Curaço, Martinique, and Tortola--of the 15 I've been to. :)

  3. Going to the Grand Canyon in Arizona is fun if you're an outdoors type person.

We watched the sunset, and the sunrise and it was beautiful.

I also found it interesting to see all the other tourists from all over the world that spoke all these different languages.

My sister knows a little bit of Russian, and we met these Kazakh guys who spoke it.

They were asking a question, and their English wasn't so good, so she was able to speak some Russian with them.

Another thing that I thought was fun about it was camping. Many times it gets too cold at night for camping, but it was still warm enough at 4 in the morning when we got up to watch the sun rise. Though, it was a bit chilly when we drove over to the canyon and got out.

When first arrived at out camp site, we saw an elk, and I took a picture of it, it was pretty cool.

Even though it's supposed to be hot in Arizona, it actually didn't seem that bad. We went in late June, but the weather was fair enough.

Hiking down the Grand Canyon was fun, but don't go too far because it's so much easier to walk down than up. My family and I walked down not even that far, and we had trouble walking up. Hiking up the Grand Canyon was the hardest. It was hot, and we were sticky and sweaty and our sunscreen was preventing our sweat from drying off and it was icky.
