  1. Treated my mom w/ disrespect up until she passed away in 2005. Now I understand the meaning, "You don't know what you've got til you lose it." I miss her so much.

  2. My biggest regret in my life is taking Life for granted.By approaching life and living this way cost me quite a bit.

Now I know that my birth was not my choice and my death will also be not of my choice . So, how can I assume that the inbetween part , between birth and death,  will be totally my choice. It is not  and it will not be.If  I had that wisdom to understand that .......? I cannot even say that now. That "IF" has no meaning at all.

What happened in your life , as you describe, is also due to this assumption . If you are able to understand the truth that what happened in your life , wife , children  , whatsoever......was NOT due to your choice you will be relieved of your guilty feeling . You will feel light and you will sleep well each day. It is not due to your fault. You could not have done  differently. The easterners call this beautifully as 'Karma'.

If you want to believe in what I am saying please try to look at the remaining part of your life from this angle. You will feel immense peace.

    Good luck.

  3. I stole a penny from a gas station.

  4. Well, you're alive, as are your children.  I'd say, in a situation like that, accept that bad things have happened in the past and do what you can to make the future better.  Regret is a useless part of life.

  5. You cant go on thinking what if !!!!!!!!!

Life is too short to live in the past, if you have bridges to mend, then mend them and move on.

  6. I wish I had not seen displays of emotion as a flaw in my personality. I believed I must be in total control of my emotions at all times. It was the only thing I could control, really. As a result, the ones I loved the most never knew how much I adored them. How I wanted to hug them, to embrace them and weep if I wanted to.

All I can do now is try not to ever let it happen again. Little condolence.

  7. would've, could've should've !

No I don't think like that because one becomes stuck in the past. stuck going in circles.

Learn from the past and move on otherwise ones destined to repeat.

all things in your life are meant to happen, good or bad. They are all meant to happen and learn from and always be optimistic and know that there is always something better on your path.

Don't ever regret your life and the choices you've made because you are simply increasing and asking for more strife and pain and suffering.
