Mine is sapphire i and yes i do like it. But if you look under lots of different places you tend to have about 3 different stones possibly more. For example one for the day one for the month and under different mythology one for the year decade. etc so if you keep looking you can find one you do like but that is in some way still personal to you.

Mine is Topaz or lapis lazuli.... Yeah I like them. Pretty blue colours they are.

Spetember - Mine birthstone is Sapphire.  I LOVE it.  I own sapphires in all different colors.

Mines pearl...I wouldn't really wear pearl so no not really.  But it doesn't bother me that I don't like it.

I'm an October bday so I'm lucky enough to have 2 birthstones...  depending on where you shop and where you look.  Some places have October listed as Rose Zircon which is a pale pink stone (and I don't like it all that much).  Other places have October listed as Opal which is a milky colored stone that shows different shades of pinks and blues and I like it a lot.....

I dont understand the analogy of birthstone, so there is no question of liking it or not.  I only know about tombstone which   some people put on the grave depicting the sad departure of the man/woman inside , conveniently forgetting the persons deeds when he was alive.
