What is your coaching philosophy?

Watching Tampa Bay be aggresive this off -season makes me think: How is Melrose, out of coaching for =12 years, planning to guide the Lightning in the new NHL?

What would be your idea of how to run a team? What styles would you use for offense and/or defense?

i would have a up tempo offense untill i got a lead then id go into a devils style defense with the lead.

I know its boring, but I like the trap defense. However, the Sabres, Senators, and a few other teams have a style that has always beaten my Flyers.

In the end though, the system the Red Wings use has been good.

Also, the best system in the world won't do a coach any good unless he has the support of his bosses and a commitment from his players.

my teams always crash the net and love to do one timers. i love to have my defensemen pinch and walk the line. i want my defensemen to be agressive and hit the opposition.
