What is your comment to this child ambitions?

We have the non-profit, charity registered in California. In 2006, we started to share our Blessings. We visited a school with many "poor" children. We brought school supplies, snacks, toys and candies. we are very new ..

so we starte to ask the children, what are they dreams and ambitions.. here are the answers

I want to be a ...

1. nurse

2. doctor

3. teacher

4. policeman

5. actor

6. pilot

and this one... He said...

"I wanted to become an American..." We are so speechless...

While I understand the sentiment of some that the US is not the best country in the world, since this child lives here, he is very smart to want to become an American.

citizenship is very important here to getting any kind of help from the government, and being an immigrant, his family probably needs it. Without citizenship he won't be able to get financial aid for college, which is quickly becoming the only way to having any sort of future. Its really a terrible situation. Sounds like he has the right idea- though his insight probably comes from experience, which in this case isn't necessarily a good thing.

If he is a foreigner, he will have to go through alot of paperwork. If he is an American, I believe that he will have a future dedicated to the government. He may even be a new influence to the nation that he might even be the president by 2050- 2060. He has patriotism. He has a heart of a hero soon to come that will defend that nation to its fullest.
