What is your concept of quality preschool and what methods would you use to acheive it?

My concept is more of the Vygotsky approach. That children learn more by social interaction, or by having fun while learning. I am more keen to a partial free-for-all schedule, and then certain parts of the schedule planned out with specil activities.

Definately a very open communication line between parents and teachers. Better pay for teachers, and just a better overall environment or the kids.

Encourage a Reggio Emilia approach, use Creative Curriculum, and pay teacher what they deserve instead of what they need to survive.

Communicate with parents and get them involved.

Provide play opportunities to children and meet all basic needs.

Good teachers make a quality Preschool.
