What is your countries perception of Canada?

Please say what country you are from and what you/family/friends think of Canada!

Well, I live in the state of Washington and have friends in Canada.  Every time I've gone up to visit everyone treats me with respect.  You have the biggest ferry's I've ever seen, carry something like 250 cars.  Also, the USA needs to keep Canada close friends.  Oh, one complaint.  The highways do not have enough turnoffs.  If you miss your exit, forget about it.

I'm from the USA, and the general feeling my family and I have is the Canada has virtually all of the good points of the USA and very few of its bad points.  As close neighbors and fellow Anglophones, English speaking Canadians seem intelligent, patient and fair.  French speaking Canadians are somewhat more different in culture from Americans, but I have nothing negative to say about them.  It may be because Canada was not created in revolution that its people are much less concerned with being hard, violent frontiersmen than the stereotypical American.  I am certainly prejudiced in favor of Canadians, because a very close friend - one of the finest people I have ever known - was from Alberta, and she embodied everything in the best image of Canadians.

I like Canadians very much!

I'm from the U.S.A... I spent 2 months in Alberta in the summer of 2002.. We called it "America Lite"... we loved it .

and never felt out of place there.

I'm from the USA.  I have visited BC, Alberta and the Maritimes.  I have enjoyed every trip, and was treated very well by the Canadians.  Going to Nova Scotia was like a peaceful trip back through time.  The people there were a bit eccentric, but that only added to their charm.
