  1. If you SHARE a common ancestor, then he is  related to you, but if you have no common ancestors, then there is no true relation.

  2. Uncle by marriage, if I understand you correctly

Your father had a sister, Dorothy. She married Daniel and they had a child, David. David is your blood cousin.

Daniel is your Uncle, and, if you want to distance yourself  because he chews with his mouth open, "Uncle by marriage".

If you mean Daniel had a sister, Darlene, and she married Douglas, there is no relation between you and Douglas. There isn't any relation between you and the children of Darlene and Douglas, either, even though those children are first cousins to David, who is in turn your first cousin.

  3. well, technically, they are your family by marriage.i think that they are your cousin too.

  4. As you did not go in to the marital relationship ex... Two sisters had children they are cousins. The fathers of those cousins would be your uncles, however the uncle of one of the children would be an uncle also even if it is on the father's side of the family. No blood relation of course but family ties aren't always made by blood alone. Peace&Love be with you...~M~
