What is your current opinion on the state of the music scene?

When I say music now, I mean ALL genres. Peace!

It's not impossible to find good bands nowadays. I think people exagerrate that the music scene 'sucks'. I mean, yes, the mainstream stuff isn't breaming with talent, but you have to look beyond the mainstream! And honestly, I listen to the Top 40 and all these things, and I enjoy todays pop/hip-hop music, but I don't take the music seriously. I know that it's all talentless garbage, but I can't helping liking it, and it's all harmless fun. When I get serious about music, I listen to the 'good stuff'. So, the music scene nowadays is really not that bad if you're willing to just put aside that most of it is talentless.

I especially hate 'fake' rock

like panic at the disco , fall out boy, and all those freaks

These days people focus too much on the mainstream, everyone is always going on about Fall Out Boy this and Soulja Boy that, "Rock is dead," "all rap sucks," etc etc. Well if you're just going to look in the mainstream, of course you're only going to find ****, and that's always been the case. The underground is where it's at. Metal, Rock, Hip-Hop, or any genre for that matter, are all alive and well, their simply not on every radio station and tv channel (something I am quite thankful for actually).

the state of ALL music is terrible. a bunch of cookie cutter, wannabe, corporate, trying to be "different", or "heavy", disney channel, garbage rap, acts out there.

i personally am glad that heavy metal has made a resurgance over the last few years. and by metal i mean, real metal. not that a7x/fallout boy bullsh*t. not that metal ever really went away but it's nice to see its back in the spotlight again, where it BELONGS.

It's alright, but too many people seem to be buying into the fake-disney rockstar thing. (i.e. miley cyrus and the jonas brothers)

I think it sucks terribly.  Mindless rap and emo c**p are clogging up the charts.  I think it's time for metal to make a comeback.
