  1. It is loving the good stuff and knowing and forgiving the bad stuff so that the two of you can be soul mates and lovers.

  3. That's something other people do. Seriously, I do know some people who have been happily married for many years. It's just not for me.

  4. We both have the freedom be be ourselves. Express our own opinions without ridicule. Great communication, sharing and laughter.  

  5. when your spouse is not just your "mate" but your best friend, your companion in every way possible. You can sit in silence comfortably, or you can engage in conversation about any topic and enjoy it. You have total reliability and stability as well. Totally dependable on each other in good times and bad. Complete honesty, faithfulness and devotion. Laughter, laughter, laughter, ...You enjoy each others company and genuinely are interested in the others day to day activities, Completely sensitivity to the others needs and desires,

    Great s*x, often, and the excitement and romance never goes away, at any age., in fact it gets better.

  7. Being happy with yourself and the mate you have chosen.  It means you are content in your married life.  No life is perfect and no marriage is perfect.  You can still be happily married though.

    when no matter how much he annoys me, I'd rather be annoyed and with him..than to be without him.

    knowing that there are going to be good days, and bad ones, and realizing you can't have one without the other.

    realizing that spending your life with someone doesn't mean they (or you) are perfect, or are ever going to be perfect.  It means that this is the person who, despite their imperfections (and yours), is the person you want to share your life with.

    waking up in the night and seeing him drooling on the pillow and making a noise like a Harley (snoring),  and being glad he's there.
