  1. To me. beauty in the abstract is something that defines itself outside the margins our limited language permits us.

To break it down, dumb it down, and devolve the concept I would say that it is beauty without form- like love. The feeling you have for your child is beauty in the abstract just as the angles of shadow on your bedroom wall at sunrise are.

It is subjective- you see the beauty, you hear the music. Trying to put it into words is for poets and to show it to others in the visual arts is to filter it as through a coffee strainer. The beauty is still present and in the creative process you may even have designed a new concept but the source and your reaction are what combine to form a sublime beauty- a love between subject and object that cannot be perfectly captured.
