  1. Cornstarch and Gold Bond works good. Also triple paste is good.I forgot the name. I always used Desiten creamy.

  2. Triple Paste.  I swear by it.

    http://www.triplepaste.com/

I know they sale it at Target & Walgreens.

It's pricey so I only use it to treat not prevent (approx $8).

  3. e45 nappy cream and a little airing out, however, we do need to be careful of puddles and parcels!!!

  4. Hi i dont know if you live in the Uk but here we have something called Bepanthen and it is really good for Nappy Rash!!!

theres also Metanium which is good

when my baby had nappy rash i made sure i changed his nappy every hour and smothered him in cream and this made it go quicker

i also put sudocrem on my child every nappy change, yes i go through a lot of cream but he has never had a rash since the one where i didnt put cream on every time and then that went after a few days of suing bepanthen!!

    good luck

  5. let baby's bottom air as much as possible.

  6. Forget about the diaper rash creams that are sold over the counter, most only work to prevent a diaper rash but not to heal it when a baby has it.

Trust me on this. Purchase 'Hydrocortisone 1%' which is an anti-itch crea/oilment and 'Clotrimazole cream 1%" (it's an antifungal cream), Put a small dab of both creams, mix it together put it directly on the diaper rash. I GUARANTEE you will see great improvement.... the baby will no longer have the rash. if you do it, it can only be used twice a day. Usually, I use it when she wakes up in the morning and right before I put her to sleep at night.

I use the other creams to prevent rashes.

  7. There is some stuff called Super Duper Diaper Doo and it works the best for my little ones.

  8. my dd had diarrhea when she 1st came home from hosp; doc said use no wipes, just baby washclothes with COOL water to clean, make sure she's dry first then a THIN layer of desitin or zinc oxide....as most rash creams are moisture barriers, it will keep moisture in as well as out, so skin must be dry....worked like a charm; haven't had to use anything since but timely changes, and air!!!

we were instructed NOT to use any kind of powder...

  9. So far in her 10 months, my daughter hasn't ever had nappy rash.

But - there was a nappy change about 2 weeks ago where I noticed four small pink spots on her bottom, so I dabbed a tiny amount of breast milk on them - and ta daa - they next nappy change they were gone.

  10. Boudreaux's Butt Paste at every diaper change. This always clears up Landon's rash by the next day.

  11. 1.)  Cloth diapers.... the modern cool ones... see: bumgenius and fuzzibunz. You'll save tons of money, too.

2.) A&D  - We had to use this once when my boy had a bad reaction to pampers... worked great.  Surprisingly.. he didn't breakout in Huggies before he fit into his neon green cloth diapers.

    3.) Just air out, baby!

4.) I hear lansinoh creme.. for breastfeeding typically is like the 'Udderly Smooth' creme for hands.. it's the natural miracle remedy for anything.  My friend applied this to her baby's blistery bum, and she said within 2 days, it was gone.  It's $10 a tube,s o if you don't have it.. I'm not sure if it's worth the risk to try...

5.) Personally, I use tea tree oil.  It sounds hippy, but pick up a small bottle from your local whole foods or health store.  It's like $3-$5 here in Minnesota.  Mix 3-4drops with about 1 cup of witch hazle ($1.) You can get anywhere.

Mix them together in a spray bottle or soak a washcloth alone... I add some aloe vera and baby shampoo to make it smell good.  The tea tree oil is sorta strong, but it's an INSTANT remedy.  It's the same stuff they used in WWI and WWII to beat  fungi!  It's really a miracle and since it's an all-natural oil... you don't have to worry about reactions as much as chemicals from wipes and no worries about building up a tolerance by using too much zinc oxides cremes.  I guess that's a biggy now a days

My son is 9 months old, and we use this as his "baby wipes" and he's never gotten a diaper rash while we've used it!  ... no jokes!

You may have to go out of your way for this remedy, but it works.

    Look up...

Diaper Lotion Potion -- it's a spray that has it in it.. it's pricier than making something similar yourself!  We started using this stuff after hearing about how GREAT it was.  We made our own variation... It's SO worth it.  We have tons left in the bottle for more babies to come.

  12. corn startch i live by that stuff

  13. Vaseline. Only thing that worked for us.

  14. I find changing the diapers regularly really cuts down on the rash.

  15. This may sound weird, but a thin layer of Hydrocortizon cream and then a layer of Desitin over that. I only do that if it looks particulary bad, or it's being stubborn. And I only use the cream 3 times a day.

  16. Boudreaux's Butt Paste is the ONLY thing we could get to work on our son. Funny name, I know, but it's an awesome product. You can get it at Walmart.

  17. Thankfully my son only had diaper rash 2 or 3 times and very mild. My daughter had it TERRIBLE. I tried a few things, but in the end I stuck with good a ole fashioned corn starch and Vaseline mix

  18. I think the best advise is to only use cream if your baby has a rash, too many people use nappy cream to prevent nappy rash when actually it can cause it. If the skin is healthy it is much better to let it breath than smother it in cream that stops skin doing what it is designed to do . Use a gentle cream when skin is red but otherwise just keep it clean, following this advice my daughter has got to the age of 2 only having nappy rash twice, when she had a tummy bug . ope this helps a little, I know not everyone will agree but it really worked for us :)

  19. cloth diapers. in 10 months we have never had a rash. (well, he had a stomach bug and diarrhea which caused a rash, but that does not count)

  20. Out of all the rash cream, I found butt paste to do the best. I also did the cornstarch thing, but the butt paste still beat that.

  21. After giving him a bath use a blow dryer on his bottom.  Seriously.  Bradley's pediatrician recommended this.  It pulls ALL the moisture from the area and then apply diaper rash cream before you diaper.  Bradley had a bad diaper rash after a bout of diarrhea and this cleared it up completely in two days.

  22. I make a paste. I start w/a Zinc oxide cream like Balmex or Desitin and then put powder on top.  When my baby poops alot he gets rashy.  But I always put cream on his bum even when his skin is not red.   They need that protection since their sitting in diapers, even though I change him ever hour to 45 minutes. Sometimes no matter how often you change him they get it so don't think your doing something wrong.

  23. corn starch is amazing!!
