What is your expereince being an International Student in the United States? If you are a student and orginally from here in the country. This might not be for you.

I am originally from nepal and have been studying in US for 5 years now. My expereince has been great as people are helpful and the oppertunities are endless. There are lot of scholarships, fellowships and plenty of job options. There alwyas something to do and friends to have fun with.I am not sure what kind of expereince actually you are talking about.

While I'm not an exchange student -- I'm currently hosting my 13th. From that perspective, it's been a fantastic experience! We have really extended our family and been introduced to so many cultures and great places!

i'm in my freshman year in comm. college in CT,,

i'm from indonesia which is totally different country from the US. So far so good,,i hv no problem at all from the academic side besides my English.

My only problem is about friendship in here.

In comm. college that I'm attending, most of the students are wayyy older than me (20s-30s), married & hv families, mostly work full/part time, and there are not many international students here (i'm the only indonesian there).

meanwhile, i'm just graduated from HS, dont (cant) work at all, and live 30 mnts from campus.

so it's not easy to make friends with people that hv really different lives from me...i mean,,they're nice and friendly, but it just hard..(for me)

I will transfer to 4yrs university next Fall. hopefully it will be better..
