  1. the godfather. great movie. vito corleone said 'fuc* you' to the world and did things his way! lol

resovoir dogs is a great movie. as is full metal jacket. i wanna be like the sergeant in it lol.

  2. Clueless, Crash, Victor Victoria, and Brokeback Mountain.

Clueless is based off the Jane Austen book "Emma." I like it because although at first she seems like a "dumb blonde," she's actually pretty intelligent in a lot of ways-- it's just that she gives off a superficial valley girl vibe. Her character really changes over the movie, and it's a really funny story.

I liked Crash because it reminded me of my Dad's work-- he's a civil rights lawyer-- and it really expressed the complications in race relations today. Not one of those characters was two-dimensional. Even the sexual-harasser racist cop had more to him than met the eye.

Victor Victoria was just a funny concept (straight woman disguising herself as drag queen), and I liked the idea of Macho Gangster thinking for a while that he was g*y.

I liked Brokeback Mountain for the music and for how well it expressed the conflict between who you appear to be and who you actually are. The main characters did some despicable things because society forced them into roles they didn't want.

  3. Hancock is top of my list right now. Mann!!! If u havent watched it, please do!! Best film of 2008(so far....)

  4. Run Ronnie Run. It's hilarious.

    R. Lee Ermey fans (full metal jacket drill instructor) should know he's in Run Ronnie Run

(along with a TON of other stars)

But it's a little known film by David Cross and Bob Odenkirk (Mr. Show)

    Forrest Gump

    Dead Poets Society

    Remember The Titans

  6. My favourite movie is Trouble In Paradise, described by Leonard Maltin as 'a working definition of the term "sophisticated comedy".'  it's sheer perfection from beginning to end.

  7. I know it's old, but Deep Throat is a classic.

  8. Barry Lyndon. It is visually stunning and emotionally stirring.

  9. "Silent running", ( or "Dark Star" ), either were great movies, for the ideas they contained, but people are frightened of ideas, so they will never be famous, it is the very reason so few read sci-fi, as well , the thinking part, is not something many are good at, and they really do not like it much, either.....

  10. I love The Princess Bride.

Other favs include Pans Labyrinth, The Labyrinth, The body guard, Hot Fuzz and Thoroughly Modern Millie.

All but two are movies from my childhood...can't work out if that is sad or nostalgic!
