my favorite legend is the one of Melusine. Her mother Pressyne had married a mortal man and upon marrying him they agreed that while giving birth or bathing her children he would not be in the room. She ended up having triplets (3 girls) and he broke his promise so Pressyne took her daughters and left. When Melusine was older she asked why they had moved from their homeland and her mother told her what happened. Melusine andher sisters then went back and locked their father in a cave. When Pressyne found out that they disrespected their father like this she cursed her and Melusines bottom half took the form of a serpent every saturday. Time passed and Melusine got married but upon marrying she made an agreement similar to the one her mother and father had and her husband was not to see her on saturdays. He broke his promise but she forgave him. They got into an arguement 1 day and he called her a serpent and at these words, she turned into a dragon. There is more to the story but I just cant remember it now. but its great I love stories like those.
