What is your favorite Monopoly moment?

Mine was when I was in 7th grade Math, and a fistfight broke out over payment of the rent for Baltic Ave. A matter of 2 (fake) dollars got 7 of us suspended. You can imagine the look on the Principal's face. LOL

-You should've seen the look on my mother's face...NLOL

Ahh, there were many fond and not-so-fond memories of this game.

Many fights (Well, small disputes that get us pissed off, anyways) have been had over rules. :)

However, I think my favourite monopoly moment is when me and my friend were the only two players left (Out of a starting 6) and owned the entire board between us. It must have been d**n evenly split, because after a 4 hour game with the other 4 players, it came down to just me and my friend with all the properties. We had to use houses as hotels and 5$ bills had to replace 500$ bills: We actually had a shortage of 500$ bills! We were determined to finish the game, but since neither of us could be bankrupt very easily, the game essentially lasted another 12 hours: 4 hours after the initial 4 hours of gameplay, and another 4 hours the next day before we both finally gave up! By the end of it, we both had roughly the same amount of money (About 8000$ each) and decided to call it a draw.

It wasn't fun at the time, but looking back it was quite an experience, more of a social time than a game mishap. =D

Probably arguing with my cousins about the rules.   Many people play it many different ways,  e.g. Free Parking collects money, what happens when you mortgage property,  whether you can have houses and hotels at the same time and collect both rents, etc.

When I beat my 13 yr old son and his best friend .. at 3a.m. ... and I smoked them both ... with only 3 properties throughout the majority of the game ... they ended up having to morgtage all their properties and give me all their money.... Not bad for a 38 yr old and staying up till 3a.m.
