I am a former chef and of Scotish history, and anything is fine with me, I like the mussels from a palce in Glasgow, affectionatly called "Clappy Doo's", huge steamed with veg and wine.

I was out with some friends and we stopped in a fish and chip shop at 2 am and I saw on the board "Deep Fried Haggis with Curry Sauce" and just had to have it, with big pile if chips, it hit the spot after drinking a few pints of Tennants all night.

Never mind their dishes just eat their shortbread!  Yummy!

Grouse or Guinea fowl.  The Scots hang their game birds longer than in most other countries giving them a very distinctive flavor that I particularly like.

I'm also partial to a good hagis.  It really is good food, traditionally served with tatties and neeps (mashed potatoes and turnips).
