What is your favorite authentic Chinese restaurant in San Diego County?

My former fave, Spicy City on Convoy in Kearny Mesa, has new ownership, and a terrible new menu. I had eaten there dozens of times before they sold. Where can I get good Gan Bian Chicken and not Americanized Chinese food in the County? Jasmine and Emerald are more dim sum. What else do you like?

Try Ba Ren on Diane St. in Claremont off of Claremont Mesa Blvd.

I've not yet had occasion to go...but I've heard its the best Sechuan in San Diego.

They don't pull punches. They make things Chinese Hot...and they use Sechuan pepper with the mouth numbing quality.
