What is your favorite dog breed and why?

Although I love King Charles Spaniels because they are cute and loyal (the list is endless) , cross breeds are great because they have less health problems and are generally sturdier dogs.

I love Shelties, also known as shetland sheepdogs, for a few reasons. The biggest reason is they are intellegent dogs. I love to teach dogs and train them to be able to do and know a lot. They also have high energy, so they are great to do any dog sports with, like agility or frisbee, or simply be able to play with them for a while. They are a size I love, very easy to pick up if you need or want to. Last I think they are beautiful. I love their coats and brushing them. I was a little girl watching an agility competition, and I saw most of the dogs in that particular competition were either border collies (another breed I love, just not my favorite) or shelties. There were also a lot of shelties at the obedience classes doing very well, and that is when I fell in love with them.

I have Labrador Retrievers and they are great dogs good in the heat love water get along with other dogs and love family just an all around good dog!

Favourite dog breed: German Shepherd!!!! I love them because they are the most amazing dog breed ever because they help out police and are great in public services and you hear of so many stories of GSDs saving people and i just think they are really heroic. Also they have great temperament!!!

German Shepherds they are loyal ,protective and the best workmate you can ask for. I have worked with sheps from the 70s and still working with one  He eats with me sleeps near me and is so faithful yet loves my grandkids to bits.

American PitBull Terrier. They are the most loyal and eager to please breed i know of.

ENGLISH SPRINGER SPANIEL great all around dog. good family dog, good hunting dog, good with kids, protective of their family.  they are beautiful dogs and have great personalities.  they also love to swim and play and just be with people. they have very loving personalities.

I just cant say enuff about how much I love this breed!

Many breeds are awesome and different lifestyles go with different dogs.  Best dog I have ever had was a 60 lb. Lab/Shepherd cross. He was freaky intelligent and the best companion a teenage girl could have - very protective. Very close Second best was a 20 lb. Australian Cattle dog mixed with traveling salesman. My next one will probably be Australian Cattle dog or ACD mix.  VERY loyal and rather one person dogs, though my mix was very loving with all my friends and just ignored anyone she did not know. She was the ultimate in portable dogs - she went everywhere with me. Sigh...

... Sometimes I contemplate a schipperke as well.  Cute and a good size for that portability...

I like yorkshire terriers, because I have had quite a few dogs of this breed and I find them to be cute and affectionate. They are also rather clean and don't moult (or not much anyway).

Pitbull cuz there loyalty to humans, and their gentleness even after being abused.  Also cuz of their want to please and they are REALLY SMART!  Theyre also really affectionate and loving.

I personally love Great Danes! They are indeed, "gentle giants". They are so sweet and at the same time, gorgeous! I've been in love with them ever since I was 5 and one came up and started l*****g me in the face. It was the same height as me! I love big dogs!

German Shepherds are also amazing! My sister has one the size of a Great Dane and I call him my West Coast puppy. Golden retrievers are also very good dogs, we had a mix when I was younger and she is an angel (my aunt has her now).

Personally I like mutts the most though. I doubt I'll ever get a pure bred (though there's nothing wrong with you if you do!) unless it's from a rescue. I don't know, I just like mixes. : )

But really, any breed is excellent as long as the dog is properly trained. My sisters have a Rottweiler, Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) and a Pit Bull/ Shar Pei mix and they're all great in their own way (though the Cattle dog drives me nuts. lol)

i dont have a favourite actual breed but i love hige dogs, like the really big dogs, which is weird because the dog i have now is tiny...hes a terrier and he is one of those ''toy'' dogs that stay really small forever

but i love huge dogs

i love lhasa apso's they are such pretty dogs very faithfull also a challange as they can be very stubborn dogs but they love to learn new commands very quickly.i have always had this type of dog i would not have any other breed.

Mine is a Cockapoo, it's a cross between a Cocker Spaniel and a poodle. It's so cute. The best part about it is that is doesn't shed. It's quiet. It was easy to train, and he's mild tempered!

Mixed breeds because they're not inbred which means their more likely to be healthier and have less temperament problems.

My favorite is the Collie.  I love the classic Scottish (Rough) Collie, Tri-Color is my favorite!  They are beautiful, loyal, intelligent, and did I say beautiful.  I really like that they are very loving toward their families and friendly, although aloof, with people they don't know.

I would have to say that I think the most beautiful dog is a Bernese Mountain Dog...but, they are not well suited for my life...that is why I have my second choice in beauty, the Collie.

I  like labradors the most, because they always look cute and innocent, they're very fast learners and they're always gentle but when they're puppys they may be energetic. Hope I helped! xx

Great Danes because they can be calm easy going loving dogs at night.  And during the day you can have fun with them and play fetch.  My great dane follows me everywhere, I Love her:)

Rottweilers , i've had one for years and couldn't ask for a better and more loyal dog . That and the Jack Russell , that too i had one for years and was the most loyal little mite in the world and very trusting where my Rotty isn't so trusting if you know what i mean , one minute you'll have your hand and the next eez gone , lol....j/k

My favorite dog breed is the all around American Mutt. I have a dog, Zoe, and she is my pride and joy- her and my Quints on the way! I love her and I wouldn't trade her for the world!

Pugs.

They're full of spirit and humor. They'll make you laugh until your sides hurt. They're SO loyal and don't want to do anything but please their owners. They have so much personality and love in them. I couldn't imagine a better breed.
