The local shop up the street from me. It is called Valley Pastries and it is in Golden Valley Minnesota.

The shop is owned and operated by a man and his wife that has been operating the same shop around Minneapolis for over 30 years. When I walk in there I am always greeted with a How are you? and sometimes I am greeted with a " Where have you been?".

I have talked to him on many occasions and he has told me he keeps going because he loves his customers. I think he is over 80! He still gets  in at around 3am everyday and works till 11am six days a week! The Donuts, cookies, breads and other pastries can't be compared to any big chain or even local grocery store! Simply they are the best of the best and his love for his work shows through!

If you ever have a chance to come to Minneapolis you need to stop by and get a donut or two.....dozen!
