When i was growing up in the and watching nascar it was all about dale sr. and then this kid gordon came around and thats who my mom picked so every weekend it was my mom vs my dad lol so i guess thats my favorite rivalry.... h**l it brought us together to do some thing as a family  lol

For me it was the long standing rivalry between Richard Petty and David Pearson.  These are the 2 winningest drivers in the history of NASCAR with10 championships between the 2 of them and are both in the top 5 drivers all time.  They were both in their prime at the same time and they dominated NASCAR from 1964 through the 1975 season.  During that span only 3 other drivers won championships.

Cale Yarborough v. Allisons

Not many of you would be fans of the sport today if it were not for the last lap of the 1979 Daytona 500. I was all excited because it was the first live coverage of a NASCAR race...had to break out the rabbit ears to get it because KDKA in Pittsburgh did not broadcast it. Had to tune it in from Youngstown to see it.

That fight really launched NASCAR onto the scene. It got coverage even in my local paper which up until then never even published results of races let alone articles about racing.

Dale Sr. & Rusty. Dale would spin Rusty on the last lap to win, then Rusty would do the same to Dale the next week. The best part is, they would have a beer together afterwards and laugh about it.

Kurt Busch and Jimmy Spencer, definitely.  Any fight involving a r****d is incredibly funny, whether it means to be, or not.

Seriously, though? I wish I was around for the Petty-Pearson rivalry.  That would have been AWESOME.
