  1. The one my mom made as I was growing up.

    Cooked ground beef

    I box macaroni-n-cheese, made

    I can drained sweet peas

    Mix all together and enjoy.

  2. this is mine and my kids favorite:

    Shepard's Pie

    1lb ground chuck

    1 can sweet peas

2 cups mashed potatoes (homade is better, Instant is quicker and easier)

    salt, pepper and garlic powder

    4 slices velveeta cheese

Brown ground chuck in skillet, breaking into small chunks.

    Preheat oven to 350 F

While browning beef prepare mashed potatoes.

Layer browned beef in 8x8 baking dish and salt, pepper and garlic to taste

Next open can of peas and drain all but about 1/3 of the liquid and pour can on top of beef and spread peas evenly.

Now spoon mashed potatoes on top of peas and spread like you were frosting a cake.

Put in oven on middle rack and bake for 30 minutes uncovered. Open oven and place cheese slices over potatoes and continue to bake just until cheese melts and voila! an all in one meal that is most tasty. You might want to add toasted garlic bread to the meal.

    Variations:

You can add a layer of sliced mushrooms, You can use corn instead of peas or corn and peas, instead of using the liquid from the peas you can drain the peas completely and use beef boullion, You can add chopped onion and/or green pepper to the beef while browning, I have even heard of mixing cream of mushroom soup to the beef before putting it in the baking dish. The options are endless. Have fun with it!

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cover the bottom of a greased 8x8

pan with half of the broken chips.

grease. Stir in taco seasoning and water; cook according to taco
