I've been in fast planes (F14) and I've been slow planes (Cessna 152), but the aircraft that won me over was an OH58D Kiowa Army Helicopter. Maneuverability is the thing that impressed me. We could go into a hover behind a tree and pop up to observe for a few seconds and then back down behind the tree. We could go backwards on take off, we could fly ten feet off the ground at 100 Kts. Nothing out there is any more seat of the pants flying except the Kiowa.
