I got this book about Elliott Smith that I totally love for Christmas. It is by someone named Autumn DeWilde who is a photographer who did shoots with him and the album cover for Figure 8 and his music video for Son of Sam. They were also good friends. What she did was interview a lot of friends who knew him well and wrote the series of interviews for the book. The people in the book are very interesting (at least to me) as well. Not most notable to me, but to most people I would imagine are the two main guys from Death Cab who were very big fans and kind of told it as contemporaries who ran in the same circles, and he inspired them. Also, Beck is in there (although his part was more about understanding Autumn's role than being about Elliott), Joanna Bulme, the dude from Heatmiser/Quazi.

Just a really interesting window into a really interesting person. I'm a huge Elliott Smith fan though so it would appeal to me.

I actually like my Book that I wrote its called "Epiphany of No Talent" its my biography on The Beatles and how they were siting at a table one morning and had the epiphany that they were terrible and broke up that morning, and it includes all my proof that they were The Jonas Brothers of their time, and also I give proof that they also did lip-syncing

You should try The Heroine Diaries.  Pretty good too.  Nikki Sixx is a great writer.
