What is your favorite music venue hangout in Paris?

What bar, cafe, nightclub with live music is your favorite place to hangout?

I'm not looking for the concert hall or opera house where you've seen the big name acts but the local place where there's a piano bar or your group might play or you maybe you jam with the band or just someplace that's laidback and friendly.

The best street is rue des lombards, it's a small street but there you'll find :

"Le baiser salé", a kind of jazz club with lots of nice little gigs every night, beware, the 2d floor is paying. There's jam sessions but I'm not sure of the day, I think it's on thursday. http://www.lebaisersale.com/home.php?pag...

"El Splendido" , a salsa club

"the guiness tavern" where every night you can listen to rock cover bands, entrance free but prices... outch!!!! (7€ for a coke!)

And of course, le "duc des lombards" famous jazz club

Hi Rillifane, my recent one is Adel's bar in the 19th on Rue de la Grange aux Belles.  It's a very local place with some expats but mostly french doing diff music each night.  Also check out Bar ourcq by the quai.  It's a bit young but very cool and the music varies... sometimes just a dj though.
